Ashiesh Shah is an Indian Architect, interior designer and art collector. He runs the Mumbai-based architecture and design firm ‘Ashiesh Shah Architecture + Design’. He is also a regular contributor for Vogue India, Architectural Digest, Condenast Traveler, Elle Decor, Hello magazine and several local journals like Economic Times, DNA and the Telegraph. He often offers design advice to readers and also regularly writes about contemporary and modern art and design. Ashiesh Shah was named as one of the ’20 People To Watch Out For’ in 2011 by CNN GO. Shah was the winner of Elle Decor’s EDIDA award in 2009 in the ‘outdoor furniture’ category and the ‘lighting’ category in 2013. In 2015 Shah was invited to curate an exhibition of design at the 8th edition of the India Art Fair in New Delhi. His exhibition ‘Chand LC’ focused on the history of Modern Indian design and architecture and the works of architects like Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret that are often rare to come by in the Indian sub continent. Otlo is conceptually and literally an open exhibition space where new, forward-looking projects can be shared. An avid collector of contemporary art Shah often lends works from his collection to exhibitions, biennales and museums.
